FISHING TIPS
Water Type
Secondary currents, pools.
Nymph
Early in the hatch, drift the nymph pattern at mid level. Later float the nymph in the surface film before switching to dun patterns.
Dun
Take time to find the feeding trout. Present your fly accurately upstream so that the fly drifts directly over the feeding station. Occasionally manipulate the fly to imitate the naturals. Use the classic Blue Dun, Blue Quill or a comparadun pattern on #16 2x hook.
Spinner
Spinner mating activity takes place over faster water than hatching activity. Work a full spent pattern in the pocket waters and currents to the feeding trout.
