FISHING TIPS
- Water Type
- Fast water of clean gravely streams
- Nymph
- Fish the pockets with a weighted nymph.
- Emerger
- Plueralis nymphs hatch on the bottom then float to the surface. Emerger patterns wet fly are very effective.
- Dun
- Fish the pocket water and converging currents with Quill Gordon or compara dun. After plueralis begins hatching, fishing can be good even during early season snow squalls. Look for trout in the pools early in the season.
- Spinner
- Use full spent patterns in the fast runs and pocket water.
